WHAT IS SUGGESTED TIMED ARRIVAL?
Suggested Timed Arrival is the ticketing system used for Saturday and Sunday.
A limited number of tickets are available for each hourly arrival period to ensure that lines and guests move quickly through the security checkpoints and that the exhibition halls have an appropriate number of guests for a better shopping experience. Guests should select their preferred arrival time when purchasing tickets and plan to arrive during that period. We ask for flexibility and patience as we are limiting the number of guest entries per hour, however, there may still be backlogs at entry that may slow the line down. We ask that everyone: 1) has their tickets and/or QR codes ready; 2) walks swiftly through the line; 3) if anyone has any mobility issues that individual plus 1 guest are able go to the Priority Pass door (Makai Side Door) for Kupuna/ADA entrance.
Suggested Timed Arrival helps distribute guest arrivals throughout the day and supports a more organized entry, security screening and ticket-scanning process.
DOES MY SUGGESTED ARRIVAL TIME GUARANTEE IMMEDIATE ENTRY?
No. Suggested timed entry does not guarantee immediate admission.
All guests must proceed through the appropriate entry line, ticket scanning and required security and bag screening.
Please allow additional time and do not plan your day based on an expectation of entering at a specific time.
ARE TICKETS REFUNDABLE?
Festival tickets are nonrefundable unless otherwise required by law or specifically stated by the ticketing provider.
Guests should confirm the festival date, ticket type, suggested arrival time and any transportation selections before completing their purchase.
WHAT ARE THE TICKETING FEES?
Ticketing fees are included the ticket price at checkout. The total price will be displayed during the ticket-purchasing process.
CAN I PAY WITH CASH TO AVOID THE TICKETING FEES?
No. Ticket purchases are card only. Cash will not be accepted for festival admission tickets.
CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS AT THE DOOR?
Yes. Onsite ticket sales will be available, subject to ticket availability and festival capacity.
Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance because hourly arrival periods and certain festival days may sell out.
Onsite ticket purchases must be made by card. Cash will not be accepted.
WHAT IF I NEED ACCESSIBILITY ASSISTANCE?
The Kūpuna & Accessibility Assistance entry is available for kūpuna and guests who may have difficulty standing or walking for extended periods of time.
This may include:
Seniors generally age 75 and older
Individuals with mobility limitations
Individuals using wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, canes or other mobility devices
Individuals with medical conditions or disabilities that make prolonged standing difficult
Guests using this assistance entry should not wait in the general admission line. They should be dropped off or proceed directly to the Priority Pass entrance at the makai-side door.
The qualifying guest may be accompanied by one support person.
Upon arrival, look for festival volunteers or staff wearing purple shirts and proceed to the Information Booth for assistance. All guests must complete the festival’s required security screening before entering.
This service is not intended to serve as an expedited entrance for guests who are able to wait in the general admission line. Festival staff reserve the right to direct guests to the appropriate entrance or line.
CAN I LEAVE AND RE-ENTER THE FESTIVAL?
Re-entry is allowed. Please ensure that you have a valid MIHF stamp before exiting.
Guests planning to leave and return should speak with festival staff before exiting to confirm the required re-entry procedure. Guests must retain their admission ticket and may be required to complete security screening again upon their return.
WHAT IF I CANNOT FIND PARKING?
Festival parking at the Hawaii Convention Center is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchasing a festival admission ticket does not guarantee or include a parking space.
Guests should allow additional time to locate parking, travel from surrounding parking areas and complete the security and ticket-scanning process.
Guests are encouraged to review the festival’s Transportation and Parking information before arriving and consider using the festival shuttle or being dropped off when possible.
Difficulty locating parking does not change or extend the festival’s operating hours. Guests who arrive after their selected Suggested Timed Arrival period may enter later that same day, subject to capacity, security screening and festival hours.
