This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from the website, including the online marketplace located at http://www.madeinhawaiifestival.com/ (the “Site”) operated by the Hawaii Food Industry Association dba Made in Hawaii Festival (“MIHF”). Throughout this Privacy Policy, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to MIHF.

Personal Information We Collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, access times, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we automatically collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view and information about how you interact with the Site.

When creating an account or signing up for e-mail alerts or newsletters on our Site, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address or other details, such as your age, preferences, or interests.

The Site includes an online marketplace featuring a unique collection of made-in-Hawaii products offered for sale by independent artists, artisans, and others (each, a “Vendor”). Vendors, we may collect and use information about you, your products, and your company.

When you purchase items from a Vendor in the online marketplace on the Site, the Vendor and the third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc., will collect information from you as needed to process your order, including for example, billing and delivery information, including credit card information, name, address, and telephone number.

Please keep in mind that if you disclose your personal information on the Site through public communication forums, such as a blog or public message board, that personal information may be collected and used by others.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information

We use your personal information to operate the Site and deliver services that you request in connection with your use of the Site. We may also use your personal information to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our Site visitors browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

Additionally, MIHF may disclose your personal information, without notice, if (a) required to do so in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information, (b) to protect our rights, and (c) to protect the safety of other Site users.
